Calligrafia Contemporanea Persiana / Studi Festival 3

16-18 March 2017, from 2pm to 8pm, Spazio Nour.

With pleasure, from Thursday 16 March, Spazio Nour will be open to the public as part of Studi festival, one of the most interesting and sincere initiatives of recent years, which includes various cultural events in the city of Milan that can be accessed free of charge.

The studio will become even more of a moment of confrontation as it will host the Iranian calligraphy artist Amir Shahrokh Faruousefi, giving colour to an interesting evening.

CONTEMPORARY PERSIAN CALLIGRAPHY

The exhibition presents two Iranian artists who explore the potential of Persian Calligraphy as a contemporary art form by reinterpreting it through an abstract gestural style, deforming the letters and using new materials.

Amir Shahrokh Faryousefi and Mahmoud Saleh Mohammadi are Iranian artists born in Tehran. The works move from the immateriality of thought to its transformation into visual, written and intelligible matter, documenting the diversity and interactions of the various forms of Persian Calligraphy through different backgrounds and materials.
