Fragility s. f. [from Latin fragilitas -atis]: Quality, condition of what is fragile, in the proper sense and figuratively: the f. of glass, of crystal; f. of health, f. of nerves; psychic f. (with reference to emotional states); the f. of human nature; the f. of glory, of our hopes. Always fig., with concr. value, an act committed (or omitted) out of fragile will, out of weakness: to show sympathy for the others.
